2012 Art Contest Finalists

Congratulations to all the junior and senior finalists!

On February 4, 2012, GRFA will award over $50,000* in college scholarships and art supplies to thirteen* high school seniors and seven* juniors at an awards luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Orleans.

Plus, Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne will announce the overall junior or senior whose winning design will be used as the official poster for Louisiana's Bicentennial as chosen by the Louisiana Bicentennial Commission.

High school juniors and seniors were asked to create a unique piece of work based on our theme "Louisiana's Bicentennial"

These 20* finalists were chosen from nearly 500 entries and over 120 cities from across Louisiana! Thank you to everyone that entered and we hope that you will consider submitting an entry this year to our first annual Digital Art Contest as well!

Student Success
"The GFRA art contest has given me confidence that being an artist is possible in the economy we live in today. It also showed me that being an artist is not only a hobby, but it can also be a lifestyle. The award made me feel credible that masters of their craft would recognize my efforts."
