GRFA is pleased to celebrate a year of successful arts in education programs that have impacted thousands of students across Louisiana. In 2016, we continued the legacy of artist George Rodrigue as we:

  • Welcomed 2 new schools to our Louisiana A+ School s program, an arts-integrated teacher training network.  LAA+ now impacts 10,000 students and 700 teachers each day.
  • Awarded $45,250 in scholarships to 16 Louisiana high school students through the GRFA Annual Scholarship Art Contest .
  • Donated $25,000 in art supply kits to Louisiana classrooms through the George's Art Closet program.
  • Helped 206 other non-profit organizations raise funds for their missions through GRFA's Print Donation Program .

As we look forward to 2017 and the expansion of our statewide programs, we need your support more than ever.

Help us continue the mission of youth development through the arts in education by donating to the George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts.

Thank you for your support!

"The GFRA art contest has given me confidence that being an artist is possible in the economy we live in today. It also showed me that being an artist is not only a hobby, but it can also be a lifestyle. The award made me feel credible that masters of their craft would recognize my efforts."
